Devon has a Masters Degree in Social Work, is a designated Psychotherapist and a Registered Social Worker.
Additional postgraduate studies include a Marriage and Family Therapy Certification at the University of Guelph, which required advanced courses for couples, individuals and families.
Since moving into private practice she has focused her development on leading evidence based therapies. She has attended multiple trainings with renowned therapists such as Dr. John & Julie Gottman, and has experience working with couples using their specialized approach. She has also trained with leading professionals to learn how to help couples work through and process affairs along with PTSD events.
Further attention has been given to training in EMDR. This allows her to focus in on, and work with, traumas her clients may have experienced at any point in life. Devon has completed additional training for complex trauma and the use of EMDR.
Devon has experience treating individuals, couples, families in both private practice and agency settings and has also worked internationally.
