Honora’s warm, open, and non-judgmental nature helps create a safe environment to share the ups and downs of life. Understanding that the relationship between client and therapist is key to growth and change, Honora draws upon a range of therapeutic approaches to meet each individual’s needs, goals, and life circumstances.

Honora works with adolescents and adults navigating a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress and burnout, life transitions, relationship difficulties, self-esteem, identity exploration, and the impacts of past experiences. She supports clients in understanding patterns that may feel stuck or overwhelming, building emotional regulation skills, and developing healthier ways of coping and relating to themselves and others.

Trauma is one of the lenses that informs Honora’s work, recognizing that difficult or overwhelming experiences can shape how we think, feel, and respond in daily life. Whether related to a single event or longer-term experiences, trauma responses can show up as anxiety, emotional dysregulation, disconnection, or a loss of sense of self. Honora has over 15 years of experience supporting individuals affected by trauma, including those impacted by family violence, gender-based violence, and intimate partner violence, and brings this depth of understanding into her broader clinical work.

Honora believes that knowledge is empowering, particularly when it comes to understanding how our brains, bodies, and emotions respond to stress and adversity. By developing insight into these responses, clients can build greater awareness, regain a sense of control, and move toward more supportive and sustainable ways of coping.

In addition, Honora supports adults in caregiving and parenting roles, recognizing the impact these responsibilities can have on stress, relationships, and overall wellbeing. Drawing on decades of experience working alongside families and caregivers, she helps individuals strengthen attachment relationships, navigate challenges with greater confidence, and support both their own growth and the wellbeing of those they care for.
