Milena Urbanajc - MSW, RSW
Registered Social Worker - Psychotherapist

Therapist, Counselor, Milena Urbanajc, MSW RSW

My goal as a therapist is to help you identify your strengths and what may be holding you back in life with regards to meeting your full potential. We all aim to live life to the fullest, but sometimes there is something that may be holding us back, and this is what we aim to work out in therapy

As we make our way through the journey that is life, there is so much that happens which shapes our perspective, our sense of self, and how we relate to ourselves and others within our environment.

Sometimes there is loss, whether loss of a significant other, relationship, pregnancy, employment, illness, loss of self through the experience of trauma, that can affect the way we feel or act. By taking time to examine our lives, we begin to create opportunities for growth, momentum and transformation.

The transformative aspect of therapy is one of the possibilities! It is amazing the insight which can be gained, and the pathways for opportunities created. In therapy we work together to assess your life journey, and create new goals for growth and healing. I utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities depending on the need and benefit of the client. I am here for you!

Melanie Baker - MSW, RSW
Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist

Local Therapist, Kitchener Waterloo Counselor, Melanie Baker, MSW RSW

My goal is to support the person you are today in the process of becoming who you want to be—and maybe, rediscovering who you always were. I believe that when we make space for difficult things, we create room for change, growth, and joy.

Melanie is a neurodivergence-affirming therapist who blends warmth, humour, compassion, and a conversational style to help clients feel relaxed and comfortable. She deeply believes that no matter their background, the people she works with are adaptable, resourceful, and capable of the healing and change they’re seeking in their lives.

Melanie’s approach is based on the idea that no single skill or method can be expected to cover every topic that comes up in therapy, in the same way you wouldn’t use a hammer when you need a paintbrush. She offers clients choice, collaboration, and transparency—her office is a space that supports taking chances, making mistakes, getting curious, and learning to trust yourself as an active participant in therapy process.

With several years of experience sitting on the other side of the couch (or screen!) herself, Melanie knows firsthand exactly how awkward, vulnerable, rewarding, and utterly life-changing therapy can be.
