More About Megan
Megan is a compassionate and dedicated Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). She holds a Master of Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University, a Bachelor of Social Work from McMaster University, and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Queen’s University.
From her beginnings as a volunteer at a local crisis centre to her work in hospitals, schools, and community mental health settings, Megan has gained extensive experience supporting both youth and adults in individual and group therapy. She has helped clients navigate a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, gender and sexuality changes, domestic violence, ADHD, and grief and loss to name a few.
A Flexible, Collaborative Approach
Megan believes that each person’s journey is unique—no two clients experience life’s challenges in exactly the same way. She collaborates with clients to create a tailored treatment plan, drawing from a wide spectrum of evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Motivational Interviewing, and Narrative Therapy. Grounded in both trauma-informed and anti-oppressive frameworks, she strives to create a safe, empathetic space where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and goals.
