Devon has a Masters Degree in Social Work, is a designated Psychotherapist and a Registered Social Worker (MSW, RSW).

Additional postgraduate studies include a Marriage and Family Therapy Certification at the University of Guelph, which required advanced courses for couples, individuals and families.

Since moving into private practice she has focused her development on leading evidence based therapies. She has attended multiple trainings with renowned therapists such as Dr. John & Julie Gottman, and has experience working with couples using their specialized approach. She has also trained with leading professionals to learn how to help couples work through and process affairs along with PTSD events.

Devon is also a EMDRIA Certified Therapist. This allows her to focus in on, and work with, traumas her clients may have experienced at any point in life. Devon has completed additional training for complex trauma and the use of EMDR. Part of certification is to conduct at least 50 hours of EMDR therapy and in order to show your ability to diversify in different scenarios you are required to work with at least 25 different clients. In addition, clinical assessment and supervision from an EMDR supervisor has allowed Devon to improve her methodology and skills to provide clients the best possible therapy.

Devon has experience treating individuals, couples, families in both private practice and agency settings and has also worked internationally.
